The Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan have signed the “Plan of Practical Actions for the Development of Interparliamentary Cooperation for 2025-2026” (“Roadmap”).
The signing ceremony was held within the framework of the First Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Forum in the city of Khiva, Uzbekistan.
The document was signed by Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Parliament, and Tanzila Narbaeva, Speaker of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.
The roadmap is expected to further strengthen cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries through practical steps to be implemented.
As part of the ceremony, the parties also signed the Regulation of the Commission for Interparliamentary Cooperation between the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan and the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.
