SAHIB PASHAZADE AWARDED CULTURAL AMBASSADOR OF UZBEKISTAN MEDAL

During a meeting held at the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Sahib Pashazade, Director of the International Mugham Center, Honored Artist, and tar player, was awarded the Cultural Ambassador of Uzbekistan medal by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The medal and its certificate were presented to the artist by Uzbekistan’s Minister of Culture, Ozodbek Nazarbekov. During the award ceremony, the minister highly praised Sahib Pashazade’s contributions to the development of cultural ties between the two countries and his active participation in international festivals and competitions held in Uzbekistan, wishing the artist further success.

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Culture, Adil Karimli, who attended the presentation ceremony, expressed gratitude to his Uzbek counterpart for the attention and support shown to Azerbaijani culture.

Honored Artist Sahib Pashazade expressed his deep appreciation for the recognition and stated that he will continue his efforts to further strengthen cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan in the future.

Tar player Sahib Pashazade won the Grand Prix at the traditional “Sharq Taronalari” International Music Festival held in Samarkand in 2017 and secured first place at the 1st International “Maqom” Festival held in Shahrisabz in 2018. Additionally, in 2024, he was honored with the title of Honorary Professor of the Uzbekistan State Institute of Culture and Arts.
