
Orkhan Nazarli, Head of the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, held a bilateral meeting with Marcin Łoboda, Head of the National Revenue Administration of Poland, on the sidelines of the 29th General Assembly of the Intra-European Organization of Tax Administrations (IOTA), held in Baku.
They exchanged views on strengthening institutional capacity in tax administration, implementing digitalization strategies, and integrating innovative technologies.
Both sides emphasized the importance of agile approaches and data-driven decision-making in tax administration.
Orkhan Nazarli highlighted the efforts to implement agile management principles in tax authorities, as well as the practical experience gained in establishing operational and adaptive management systems. He also noted the reforms aimed at enhancing the transparency and efficiency of the tax system.
Marcin Łoboda provided insight into the measures to modernize the tax administration system in Poland, including the development of centralized data systems and automated control mechanisms.
The Polish counterpart emphasized the importance of expanding experience-sharing and expert-level cooperation between the tax administrations of the two countries.
The parties agreed on exploring opportunities for strengthening technical cooperation in areas of mutual interest in the future.
