The Azerbaijan U-17 national football team, currently holding a training camp in Gabala, played its first friendly match with Kazakhstan.
The team secured a 2–0 victory. Nicat Karimov opened the scoring in the 28th minute, and the second goal came in the 77th minute as an own goal.
The next friendly for the Azerbaijani side is scheduled for June 10 against Georgia.
