BUDAPEST HOSTS 10TH MINISTERIAL MEETING ON GREEN ENERGY DEVELOPMENT AND TRANSMISSION

The 10th Ministerial Meeting/Steering Committee on the implementation of the Agreement on Strategic Partnership in the Development and Transmission of Green Energy among Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania and Hungary kicked off today in the hall of the Ferenc Puskás Stadium in Budapest.

The event is attended by Parviz Shahbazov, Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister, the ministers from Georgia, Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary.

Prior to the meeting, the guests were welcomed by Péter Szijjártó, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

The meeting of the ministers in a limited format will be followed by a plenary session. The event will conclude with a press conference.

The Agreement entails laying a cable on the bottom of the Black Sea for transmitting electricity with a capacity of 1 GW.
