Moldovan media outlets, including the State News Agency MOLDPRES, and “Noi” news portal have published articles highlighting the 33rd anniversary of the Khojaly genocide – one of the gravest crimes against humanity.
The articles, published in Romanian, English and Russian languages, provided an insight into the horrendous tragedy.
The articles also drew the readers’ attention to the event commemorating the 33rd anniversary of the Khojaly genocide hosted at the Azerbaijani Embassy in Moldova.
The publications mentioned that on that tragic night in 1992, 613 civilians, including children, women and elderly individuals, were brutally massacred by Armenians.
The author emphasized that the events commemorating the victims of the Khojaly genocide were also held in many countries, including the United States, European countries, and Türkiye.
The articles underscored that in 1994, by a special Decree of President of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev and a decision of the Milli Majlis, February 26 was declared the Day of the Khojaly Genocide.
