In Pakistan, an earthquake jolted many parts of the country including Federal Capital Islamabad on Wednesday. The earthquake tremors were also felt in many districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab province.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the magnitude of the earthquake was recorded 5.3 on the Richter scale and its depth was 220 kilometers and its epicenter was in the Hindu Kush range in Afghanistan.
In the areas where the tremors of the earthquake were felt, fear and panic spread among the residents and they came out of their houses, offices and shopping centers.
As per initial reports, no loss of life or property has been reported due to the earthquake. The tremors were also felt in Peshawar the capital of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province bordering Afghanistan.
