The Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency (AMADA) and the Gilavar Photography Club are excited to announce the launch of the international photography contest, “Olympic Spirit: Beyond Victory and Defeat.” This unique competition seeks to highlight the values of clean sports and fair play by capturing powerful images, sharing them with a global audience in celebration of the Olympic and Paralympic year, 2024.
Photographers worldwide are invited to participate, submitting images that depict sportsmanship and champion the message of fair play. Contest themes encompass the elation of victory, the poignancy of defeat, unforgettable moments, the spirit of clean competition, and the promotion of fair play. Special recognition will be awarded to photographs of Azerbaijani athletes captured by international photographers.
Entries must be original works taken during the 2024 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games. Winners will be selected by a distinguished jury of experts from Italy, Bulgaria, and Azerbaijan, under the esteemed standards of the International Association of Art Photographers (IAAP) and the Gilavar Photography Club.
This contest aspires to showcase the beauty of sport and the ideals of fair competition, sparking a global dialogue on the unifying values of the Olympic spirit through the lens of photography.
Photographs are due by November 30, 2024, with an exhibition of selected works scheduled for December.
