“Regrettably, today, there are countries, including France, which have a negative influence on Armenia. However, Azerbaijan is not alone. Türkiye supports peace and will continue to stand next to Azerbaijan,” said Head of the delegation of the Turkish Grand National Assembly to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, former foreign minister Mevlud Cavusoglu as he met with Speaker of Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova.
The parties underlined that the relations between the two brotherly countries are at the highest level.
They underscored that guided by the motto “One nation, two states” as stated by Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, Azerbaijan and Türkiye had demonstrated solidarity and mutual support in all matters. They also noted that these relations have reached the level of alliance thanks to the brotherhood between President Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan based on mutual respect and trust, as well as their political will and determination.
Mevlud Cavusoglu said that President Ilham Aliyev’s confident victory in the recent election was the result of his unparalleled services to the country, including the Karabakh victory.
The sides hailed the current level of cooperation between the two countries’ parliaments on international platforms.
Cavusoglu further added that his visit similarly reflects the intention to strengthen the relations between the two parliaments.
The former Turkish foreign minister pointed out that the stability and progress of Azerbaijan is important not only for the region, but also for Europe and Asia.
