The British Chamber of Commerce Azerbaijan (BCCA) has organized an event in London highlighting the preparatory process for the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) to be held in Azerbaijan this year.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Elin Suleymanov, UK Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to Azerbaijan Baroness Emma Nicholson, as well as Azerbaijani and British businesspersons, and climate change experts attended the event.
Baroness Emma Nicholson praised the fact that Azerbaijan would host the COP29 Conference later this year, describing the country’s hosting of the event as of great significance.
Ambassador Elin Suleymanov emphasized that Azerbaijan had already hosted a number of prestigious international events, adding that the country is capable of meeting all the requirements of the COP29.
Other speakers at the event included Chief Operations Officer for COP29 Azerbaijan Narmin Jarchalova, Deputy Executive Director at the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) Zohrab Gadirov, and Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Investment Company JSC Ulvi Mansurov.
