“During the mine-clearing operations in Tartar, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Khojali, Khojavand, Shusha, Lachin, Fuzuli, Gubadli, Jabrayil and Zangilan districts 972 anti-personnel and 1,020 anti-tank mines, as well as 1,121 unexploded ordnances (UXOs) were found and neutralized from August 1 to 31,” Azerbaijan’s Mine Action Agency said in a statement.
“As a result, 5,264,14 hectares were cleared of mines and UXOs,” the agency added.
