The opening of the European Handball Women’s 17 EHF Championship will be held at the Baku Sport Palace on August 5.
The first day of the championship will see encounters between the Faroe Islands and Greece, Luxembourg and Israel, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Azerbaijan and Georgia.
The Azerbaijani national team will next take on Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Lithuania in Group A.
The championship, to run until August 13, will welcome teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Lithuania, Georgia, Spain, Israel, Greece, Luxembourg and the Faroe Islands.
