The Heydar Aliyev Center has hosted a presentation of the book titled “Revival. Beginning”, published with the support of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, PAŞA Həyat Sığorta, life insurance company, and AZAL, Azerbaijan’s flag carrier to mark the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
Addressing the event, Head of division at the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs of the Presidential Administration Habib Mikayilli expressed his gratitude to everyone involved in the book’s publishing process. He also highlighted Armenian vandalism committed in the Azerbaijani territories during the 30 years of occupation.
He also touched upon Azerbaijan’s brilliant victory in the 44-day Patriotic War claimed under the leadership of Azerbaijani President, Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. He said that the victory paved the way for the return of Azerbaijani IDPs to their ancestral lands after years of longing.
Habib Mikayilli noted that over 1 million mines have been planted by Armenia in the liberated territories. He described the mine problem as a major challenge Azerbaijan is facing today.
Mikayilli then provided insight into the large-scale reconstruction and restoration process carried out in the liberated territories.
The “Revival. Beginning” book has been dedicated to the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev. The book’s main goal is to fully highlight the changes occurred over the two-year period. The book was also translated into Russian and English languages to raise awareness of the international community about the restoration process.
