Azerbaijan’s athlete Omar Javadov has taken a silver medal at the 33rd African Weightlifting Championships held in Tunis.
He secured the medal in the men’s 73kg category after lifting 143kg in the snatch.
Azerbaijani weightlifters Nazila Ismayilova and Isa Rustamov were crowned the continental champions.
